Quality composite front doors tested by the Greater Manchester Police

Security is a primary concern for many homeowners. Offer them a stylish and secure new entrance with a Vista composite door.

To maximise security for the end-user, our composite doors use a five-point locking system (2 hooks, 3 deadbolts) and an anti-snap, bump and drill cylinder designed to withstand the main attack methods used during a burglary.

Our composites have also been tested by the Greater Manchester Police who were unable to gain entry to the door using an enforcer. The security details such as the five-point locking system are designed to keep intruders at bay and help the door achieve Secured by Design accreditation.

Trade price composite doors built to withstand extremes of weather

Composite door diagram how the XtremeDoor is madeOur composite doors are designed to last in even the most extremes of weather, providing excellent protection from the elements for the end-user.

Vista composites have been tested for weather tightness on the glazing system, enduring 2000 pascals. A pascal is a unit of pressure equal to one newton per square metre(N/m2), with 670 pascals equating to a hurricane (which is a windspeed of 75mph). Our composites exceeded this times three so can withstand 225mph winds.

A triple-sealed outerframe and uPVC edgebanding not only helps improve thermal efficiency, it keeps the worst of the British weather at bay too.

Solidor Composite Doors

Solidor composite doors are high-quality entrance doors that are known for their durability, security, and aesthetics. Composite doors are made by combining various materials to create a door that offers the benefits of each component.

Here are some key features and advantages of Solidor composite doors:

  1. Strength and Security: Solidor composite doors are constructed using a solid timber core, which provides exceptional strength and security. The core is surrounded by layers of durable materials, such as uPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) or GRP (glass reinforced plastic), making the door highly resistant to forced entry.

  1. Energy Efficiency: Solidor composite doors are designed with energy efficiency in mind. They have excellent insulation properties, thanks to their multiple layers and thermal barrier construction. This helps to reduce heat loss and maintain a comfortable temperature inside your home, potentially saving energy and reducing heating costs.

  1. Wide Range of Designs: Solidor offers a wide range of designs, colors, and finishes to suit various architectural styles and personal preferences. They have options for traditional, contemporary, and modern door styles, along with a variety of glazing options and hardware choices. This allows you to customize the door to match your home's aesthetic.

  1. Low Maintenance: Solidor composite doors require minimal maintenance compared to traditional timber doors. They are resistant to warping, rotting, and fading, eliminating the need for regular sanding, painting, or varnishing. Simple cleaning with mild detergent and water is usually sufficient to keep the door looking its best.

  1. Sound Insulation: Composite doors, including Solidor models, offer good sound insulation, helping to reduce external noise and create a quieter indoor environment.

  1. Environmental Considerations: Solidor is committed to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. They use recycled materials where possible and have implemented processes to reduce their carbon footprint.

When purchasing a Solidor composite door, it's essential to work with authorized dealers or suppliers who can provide professional installation and ensure that the door meets your specific requirements and local regulations.
